- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 (10 oz) bag mini marshmallows
- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- Pinch of salt (optional)
- Cooking spray or extra butter for greasing
Instructions
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
- In a large pot, melt the butter over low heat.
- Add the marshmallows and stir continuously until fully melted and smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt, if using.
- Gently fold in the Rice Krispies cereal until fully coated with the marshmallow mixture.
- Transfer the mixture to the greased baking dish, pressing it down evenly with a spatula or buttered hands.
- Let cool for about 30 minutes before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
- For extra gooey treats, add an additional cup of marshmallows, stirring them in at the end.
- Drizzle melted chocolate or peanut butter on top for added flavor.
- For a festive touch, mix in colored sprinkles or candy pieces.
